Yerevan Walking Tour

The best way to get acquainted with Yerevan is to do as the locals do and walk. This both saves time (parking is impossible and traffic jams are now par for the course, adding 20-30 minutes to what were once 5 minute jaunts) while allowing you to savor the sights and sounds of the city.

Northern Avenue Walking Tour

Northern Avenue is Yerevan’s modern face to the world, a throughway long planned for and an integral part of Alexander Tamanian’s 1924 central plan for Yerevan, connecting historic Abovyan street with Opera Square and Monument on a North-South axis.  The walking tour begins at Abovyan Street, crossing up the new avenue to Tamanian’s masterpiece Opera House, then to the remarkable Cascade, with its new modern art museum and stunning vistas of Yerevan and the Ararat Valley.
